Sera Phyre isn’t the type to pose. She just is; calm, unapologetic, completely locked into herself. There’s a fire under the surface, but it doesn’t need to scream. She carries it. That’s exactly what I look for.
This shoot was simple. One camera, natural light, no fakery. We walked, we talked, and I clicked the shutter when the air shifted. Sera brings the kind of energy that doesn’t need direction; she owns space without trying to. It’s that quiet defiance I’m always chasing.
She’s a Welsh-born artist with roots that run from Nigeria to Louisiana, fluent in Welsh, and sounds that slip between genres like it’s second nature. Afrobeat, indie, ambient textures; whatever. It’s not about labels. It’s about how it makes you feel. Her debut single Caru is smooth, slow, and soaked in heat—one of those tracks that gets under your skin and stays there.
